So, Startup.com is a documentary of the start up, running, and the eventual downfall of a website made by a group of friends to cash in on website boom. The main founders, Kaleil Isaza Tuzman and Tom Herman, were very different, money-hungry businessmen. They put an INSANE amount of effort and time in this project, especially since this documentary is of the company across the span of such a short amount of time, believe it was about a year or so. To be honest, to even get a business plan and the base plans can take time, some do not even complete that process in less than a year. What these guys did is, and was, very impressive. They traveled all across the United States, and Kaleil even met with former president Bill Clinton, in which he promptly gave him a business card. These people seem very, very aggressive though. They often let emotion get in the way of business, or was too focused on personally looking good that everything else didn't matter. From the beginning, seeing the way the founders interacted with each other, I honestly thought the company was going to crash a lot sooner. They did not seem organized, and I believe the only reason the company made it up to the point it did was the countless 20+ hour day's that the founders and eventual employees put in.

The BEST part of the entire documentary, is the 3rd founder who started off strong by putting in long days and even a chunk of money from his personal funds. They bought out his shares, and he made it away with about 700k. Nothing to turn your head from that's for sure. The other 2 founders made nothing. The company went so bankrupt it was hilarious. They made it out with nothing at all besides saying they created a business from the ground up, and a few personal relationships out of it...maybe. Also, that one woman that Kaleil was with, why was she so stuck and obsessed on getting a dog? That was the most awkward part of the documentary was the like 3 minute fixation on getting a dog. 4/10. Probably couldn't have done better myself.
